Not sure why I started this thread...my movie knowledge is pretty useless.

Wow great research! The answer I was looking for was John McClane - the name of Bruce Willis's character and Lt. Touchdown's name too. Well done
Steve Bartlett is a connection which escaped me but I see he didn't work on the original movie but in Die Hard With A Vengence .
