Word Ladder - 3 Letter Words

Post by GTC2 on Sat Feb 07, 2009 8:21 am

First topic message reminder :

Hi,

Welcome to a new word ladder game. The object of the game is to make the ladder as long as possible, without using any word more than once.

To play the game you have to add a new English word on to the ladder by EITHER changing ONE letter in the previous word OR use the same letters in different order (an anagram). BUT NOT both. For example: CAT can be changed to FAT or ACT

Lengthing and shortening the word are not allowed. Words must be in English and found in the dictionary. Proper names, abbreviations and acronyms are NOT allowed. Plurals are allowed (thefreedictionary.com is used to verify entries - see the online reference checker in the column on the right after you have logged in).

Try to avoid posting the same word twice. If a word appears a second time, the ladder resumes with the word immediately before the duplicated entry. That then becomes the correct ladder.

When two players post entries at roughly the same time, the ladder continues with the post which occurs first. The incorrect ladder is immediately abandoned. The game ends when players can no longer add on to the list. The player at the top of the ladder then becomes a Word Ladder Winner.

Please note posts made in Board games' threads may be deleted and may not count towards your total post count. Posting more than once in a row in the ladder is not allowed. Please try to number your entry and sign your name too! Thanks.

The February 2009 3 Letter Word Ladder game starts with the word: FUN
As the list grows, it will be updated below from time to time, check the last page of this thread to find the current end of the ladder. Good Luck!
